The Sparkling Aviation Cocktail is a fizzy spin on an old classic. Known for its beautiful purple hue, this drink is a must for all you gin lovers out there. The tint comes for Creme De Violette, a sweet and floral liqueur made from violet flowers. The only difference between this recipe and the classic is the bubbly – and who doesn’t love bubbles?
RECIPE FOR ONE COCKTAIL
2 oz. Gin
1/2 oz. Creme De Violette
1/2 oz. Maraschino Liqueur
1/2 oz. Lemon Juice
1 oz. Sparkling Moscato
Stir gin, Creme de Violette, Maraschino Liqueur and lemon juice. Pour into glass and top with the Sparkling Moscato.
Note: This recipe needs sparkling wine on the sweet side to balance the sour and floral notes.
