Pinkies out! These traditional cucumber tea sandwiches are perfect for high tea and just about everything else.
CUCUMBER TEA SANDWICHES
Loaf of small sliced bread such as party rye
8 oz cream cheese softened
½ cup mayo
1 package dry Italian seasoning mix
Combine all ingredients (minus cucumber and dill) and blend until smooth.
Spread on bread slices. Top with thinly sliced cucumber and chopped dill.
For a lighter version swap the cream cheese and mayo for 8 oz. low fat cottage cheese and 1/4 cup light mayo.
