Ingredients

Scale

5 string cheese sticks

2 softened 8 oz bars of cream cheese

1 packet of seasoning (such as ranch, French onion, Italian, garden vegetable)

1 log of goat cheese (this blueberry covered one from Trader Joes gives off an extra creepy blue undertone) or a meat and cheese spiral wrapped log

??? oz prosciutto

Buy Wilton blood red glaze or make it yourself by mixing:

1 part chocolate syrup

2 parts corn syrup

Red food coloring until the correct color is achieved

Instructions

Find a nice, long charcuterie board. We love this one from World Market for both size and affordability! To make the arm as realistic as possible, use your own arm and hand as a guide for correct finger length ratios.

To start, make your cream cheese and seasoning mixture by whipping soft cream cheese with your choice of seasoning packet. If you did not buy Wilton Blood Glaze, make your own glaze by stirring together chocolate syrup, clear corn syrup and red food coloring.

The string cheese sticks will be serving as your fingers. Trim sticks to the lengths of your 5 fingers. Lay your arm on the board and place the sticks down under your fingers.

Now it’s time to start working on the meat of your hand/palm. This is your cream cheese section. Plop down a few spoonsful and start to shape into a hand/wrist. Connect the cream cheese to the fingers. Keep using your own hand/arm to see if your proportions are right.

Finally, it’s time for the forearm. This is your log of cheese and meat. Using your arm as a guide, lay it on the board. Add more cream cheese to connect the hand and wrist to the log/forearm.

Time to add some muscle! AKA Prosciutto. Lay slices of prosciutto over the entire arm and hand in a lengthwise direction.

Put a knife in it. Or cut off a finger. Add some blood. Surround with crackers, crostini, fruit, mini gherkins or any other charcuterie weirdness you desire. You’re done! Watch your friends freak out when they see your charcuterie arm!
